Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Unmarble collects, how we use it, and how we protect it. Because Unmarble is an AI product, it also explains — in the AI Image Processing section — exactly which of your photos are sent to our third-party AI provider (Google) and why. We only ever send what is needed to create the designs you request.
Data Collection
We practice data minimization and only collect information necessary to provide our services. Here's exactly what we collect:
- Authentication Data: Your Google account information (name, email, profile picture) for account creation and login
- Uploaded Images: Photos you choose to upload for outfit visualization (stored temporarily and encrypted)
- Generated Images: AI-generated outfit visualizations created through our service
- Usage Metrics: Timestamps of when you use the service, number of uploads, number of generations, and subscription tier
- Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and device information for security and abuse prevention
What we do NOT do: We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use advertising networks, ad-tracking, or data brokers. We do not analyze your images for marketing purposes or train AI models on your personal photos. We share your data only with the trusted service providers listed in Third-Party Services, and only as needed to operate Unmarble.
AI Image Processing
Unmarble creates your try-on designs using a third-party artificial intelligence service. So there is no confusion, here is exactly what happens with your photos:
- What we send: When you choose to generate a design, only the specific photos you selected for that design — your uploaded photo of yourself and, where you add one, a clothing image — are sent for processing. We never send your entire gallery, and we never send your photos for any other purpose.
- Who receives it: Your images are processed by Google, using the Google Gemini AI service (the Google Gen AI API), solely to generate the design you requested.
- Your permission: Before your first design is generated, the Unmarble app shows a consent screen explaining this and asks you to agree. Nothing is sent to the AI service until you tap Agree & Continue. If you decline, no image leaves the app for AI processing.
- Equal protection: Google processes your images only to return your result and is contractually bound by its API terms not to use them for its own purposes or to train its models. Google maintains data-protection and security standards at least equivalent to those described in this policy.
Third-Party Services
To run Unmarble we rely on a small number of trusted service providers. Each processes only the data needed to perform its function and is not permitted to use your data for its own purposes:
- Google (Gemini AI): processes the photos you select for a design to generate your try-on image. It receives only those images and only for that purpose, and does not use them to train its models or for anything else. See the AI Image Processing section above.
- Google (Firebase Authentication): securely handles account sign-in. When you sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
- Apple (App Store): processes subscription payments and manages your subscription. We never receive or store your payment-card details.
- Adapty: manages in-app subscriptions and validates purchase receipts, using your account identifier and subscription status.
- PostHog: provides product analytics so we can understand how Unmarble is used and improve it. It receives your name, email, subscription status, device information, and in-app usage events.
Data Security
Your privacy and security are our top priorities. All photos and images you upload to Unmarble are encrypted and stored securely. Your pictures cannot be accessed by anyone except you and are protected with industry-standard security measures.
We never sell or rent your personal photos or generated images, and we never distribute them for advertising or marketing. To create your try-on designs, the specific photos you choose are sent to our AI processing provider, Google, exactly as described in the AI Image Processing section — this is the only third party that receives your images, and only to generate the result you asked for. Your fashion gallery and profile information otherwise remain private and under your complete control.
- Encryption: All images are encrypted both at rest (when stored) and in transit (when uploaded or downloaded) using industry-standard encryption protocols
- Access Control: Only you can access your uploaded photos and generated images, and no Unmarble employees or contractors browse your private gallery. The one exception is our AI provider, Google, which receives only the specific photos you select for a design and only to generate that design — see the AI Image Processing section
- Access Logging: We maintain secure access logs for security audits and abuse prevention, but these logs do not contain image content
- Secure Authentication: We use Google OAuth for authentication, ensuring your account is protected by Google's enterprise-grade security infrastructure
Data Retention Policy
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations:
- Uploaded Images: Stored temporarily during your active session and automatically deleted within 30 days of upload or when you delete them from your gallery, whichever comes first
- Generated Images: Stored in your private gallery until you delete them or close your account, with automatic deletion after 90 days of account inactivity
- Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account closure unless required for legal compliance
- Usage Logs: Kept for 90 days for security and abuse prevention, then automatically purged
- Violation Records: For accounts terminated due to Terms of Service violations, we retain violation logs and associated content for 1 year for legal compliance and dispute resolution
Your Rights
You have the right to access, modify, or delete your data at any time. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly in the app from the Profile page (see the Account Deletion section below). You can also request a complete copy of your data by contacting our support team.
Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time, directly within the Unmarble app. Open the Profile page and tap Delete My Account. After you confirm, your account and all associated data — including your uploaded photos, generated designs, and any feedback you submitted — are permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems. This action cannot be undone. For step-by-step instructions, or to request deletion by email if you no longer have the app, see our Account Deletion page.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription, as subscriptions are managed by Apple. To cancel, open the App Store, tap your account, and manage your subscription there. If you need any help deleting your account, contact us at [email protected].
Children's Privacy
Unmarble is intended only for users aged 16 and older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe someone under 16 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Unmarble after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
